Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service at the parts counter, assisting customers with inquiries and purchases.
- Process customer orders and returns accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain product knowledge and stay updated on automotive parts and accessories.
- Assist technicians in identifying and sourcing the correct parts for repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure that the parts department is well-organized and that inventory levels are properly maintained.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in stock replenishment.
- Handle special orders and follow up with customers regarding order status and delivery.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and enhance overall customer experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in automotive technology is a plus.
- Experience in an automotive parts counter role or in a similar customer-facing position preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and their applications; familiarity with automotive systems is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
