What are the responsibilities and job description for the Saw Operator position at D.P. Tool & Machine, Inc.?
Job Summary: This position is accountable for cutting materials to specified lengths.
Reports to:
Welding Supervisor
Ability to sit, stand, twist, bend and walk for long periods and lifting up to 35 lbs.
Requirements:
A minimum of one year’s experience
Job Responsibilities:
Set up Saws, make blade changes and conduct maintenance to keep them running optimally
Programming saw to make cuts
Ensure material is to proper size by using measuring devices such as a tape measurer, calipers, a square and micrometers.
Deliver material to proper location
Claiming parts in MRP system
Work as a back up to the receiving clerk
Use Of bridge crane
Use of proper PPE at all times
Follow ISO standards and practice Lean 6S manufacturing principles
Preferred Skills:
Experience with MRP systems
Lean manufacturing knowledge
Forklift training
Hours are Monday through Friday 7 am-3:30 pm
$500 Hiring Bonus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
