The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled duties related to the maintenance, repair, and improvement of buildings, equipment, and grounds. This includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to service requests to ensure safe, clean, and functional facilities. They will collaborate well with other department associates, co-workers, vendors, and leadership in a professional and service-based manner.
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year’s experience.
- Ability to sit, stand, twist, bend and walk for extended periods and lifting, up to 35 lbs.
Job Responsibilities:
Safety, Quality & Productivity
- Perform assigned corrective and preventative maintenance on building systems which may include plumbing, lighting, electrical, commercial doors and locks, dock doors, and HVAC.
- Perform assigned corrective and preventative maintenance on operating equipment which may include conveyors, electric motors/gearboxes, and automated machinery.
- Adhere to and aid in developing routine maintenance schedules and procedures on building systems and operating equipment.
- Operate multiple types of electric forklifts safely and in accordance with company regulations.
- Operate manlift up to 35’ in height as well as ladders.
- Maintain the grounds of the facility and property by performing tasks such as weed removal, sweeping, leaf blowing, and snow removal.
- Complete all tasks given with safety as your goal.
- Eliminate/Report/Contain safety hazards.
- Respond quickly to emergency repair situations , summoning additional assistance as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Implement/embrace 6S lean.
Preferred Skills:
- Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pneumatic, and HVAC experience.
- Knowledge of Lock out/tag out is a plus.
- First Aid, CPR, EMT.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
