Entry-Level QC Inspector - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level QC Inspector to join our Quality Team. The primary responsibility of the entry-level qc inspector is to inspect precision-manufactured parts to ensure they meet customer and company quality requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in manufacturing quality. The position is highly focused on attention to detail, consistency, and following established inspection procedures. With experience and demonstrated proficiency, there is an opportunity to grow into a more traditional Quality Inspector role performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.

Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM Monday - Thuursday. (4x10) Paid breaks, 10% shift differential

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform 100% inspection of components using a borescope inspection camera.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using a variety of inspection methods and equipment.
• Load and unload parts into CMM fixtures and operate the coordinate measuring machine to inspect parts to established procedures and specifications.
• Identify, segregate, and clearly mark defective or nonconforming parts; notify the appropriate supervisor or quality personnel.
• Inspect parts for defects, damage, contamination, workmanship, and other specified requirements.
• Follow customer-specific and company inspection procedures, work instructions, drawings, and quality requirements.
• Assist with first piece, in-process, final, and receiving inspection activities as training and experience are gained.
• Use basic measuring and inspection equipment as required.
• Communicate quality concerns or unusual findings to the Quality team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and controlled inspection area.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and work instructions.
• Participate in training and develop knowledge of manufacturing processes, inspection methods, blueprints, and quality standards.
• Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small visual differences or defects.
• Ability to perform repetitive inspection work while maintaining accuracy and concentration.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or escalate an issue.

Preferred

• Previous manufacturing, inspection, or quality experience.
• Experience using a microscope, borescope, magnification equipment, or other visual inspection equipment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing terminology, blueprints, or inspection equipment.
• Experience working in an aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods, including up to an 8-hour workday.
• Frequent use of microscopes, borescopes, and other visual inspection equipment.
• Ability to maintain a focused visual inspection task for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move parts or materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to use hands and fingers for handling small components and inspection equipment.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where exposure to machinery and loud sounds may occur.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed in a manufacturing and quality inspection environment. The employee may be exposed to manufacturing equipment, machining operations, coolants, oils, and varying levels of noise. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn as required.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
