Duties
- Prepare food items efficiently while adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems, processing cash, card, and retail transactions seamlessly
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing surfaces, organizing supplies, and ensuring proper food handling procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively to support food preparation activities
- Manage customer service interactions by serving orders promptly, addressing questions, and resolving issues professionally
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and supporting overall restaurant sanitation efforts to ensure a welcoming environment
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong food preparation skills
- Familiarity with POS transactions and cash register operations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Strong customer service skills with an ability to upsell menu items confidently and courteously
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining a clean work environment
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as cashiering, serving, or café work is highly desirable
- Retail sales experience or grocery store background is a plus for understanding inventory management and customer interactions
