Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems such as Clover POS to process sales transactions efficiently
- Manage customer orders with professionalism, upselling products to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing cash transactions and giving correct change
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection and answering questions about deli offerings
- Restock deli items regularly to ensure freshness and availability throughout shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail sales preferred; experience with quick service or fast food environments is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent customer service
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude toward customers and team members
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
