Cargo Van Delivery Driver (1099 Independent Contractor)

Position Overview
As an Independent Contractor (1099), you will deliver packages directly to residential customers using your own cargo van. This is a dedicated delivery route requiring dependable drivers who are committed to completing deliveries safely, efficiently, and professionally while providing excellent customer service.
Compensation:
- Pay: $190 per day

Route Commitment
This is a dedicated Monday through Sunday route.
By accepting this position, you are accepting responsibility for ensuring your assigned route is completed every day of the week.
If you are unable to work on any scheduled day, you are responsible for finding a qualified replacement driver. Management must approve the replacement before the route begins.
Failure to complete your assigned route without an approved replacement may result in you being responsible for the Company's costs to cover the missed route, as outlined in your Independent Contractor Agreement.
Route Information
- Average of 90–100 packages per day
- Some routes may have 60–80 packages depending on daily volume
- Some routes may have as few as 37 packages
- Average driving distance is approximately 58 - 68 miles
- Delivery stops are generally are a few minutes apart
- Routes typically take 4–10 hours to complete depending on package volume, traffic, and efficiency
- Packages are generally small to medium-sized. Larger packages may occasionally be assigned.
- Daily pay remains $190, regardless of the number of packages assigned.
If the pickup location is unable to release your assigned pallet and the route cannot be completed, you will receive half-day pay ($95).
Vehicle Requirements
Applicants must own or lease a cargo van in safe operating condition.
Contractors are responsible for all operating expenses, including:
- Fuel
- Maintenance and repairs
- Tires
- Vehicle registration
- Insurance
- Tolls and parking fees
Requirements
- Cargo van required (no cars or SUVs)
- Valid driver's license
- Valid automobile insurance
- Clean driving record preferred
- Smartphone with GPS capability
- Ability to safely load, unload, and handle packages throughout the route
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Payroll
There is an initial 3-week payroll hold for all new Independent Contractors.
On the third Friday after your start date, you will receive your first paycheck, which will include payment for the five (5) days worked during your first partial workweek. After your initial payment, you will be paid every Friday for your completed 7-day delivery route from the pay period.
Your exact first pay date will be provided during the onboarding process.
