What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at D&M Welding?
We are seeking an Estimator to join our family! You will play a pivotal role in the company, responsible for overseeing the creation and execution of all active production projects, including in-house and customer orders. The primary objective is to ensure the accurate and timely completion of all projects. This role involves close collaboration with the Estimator to fully understand project requirements and ensure a seamless transition between Purchasing, Production, and Shipping processes. You will be responsible for clearly assigning responsibilities and target completion dates, as well as maintaining an up-to-date production schedule. As an Estimator, you will need strong communication skills to match external factors, such as customer needs or vendor requirements, to our internal needs such as manufacturing capacity or capability. Additionally, as a Project Manager, you will need CAD experience in order to work with 3D models, creating drawings, and transferring models into CAM software for production setups. Lastly, you will work with our ERP software to create customer orders, shipping documents, and to complete Purchasing processes such as ordering materials and contracting outside services. Experience in metal working is preferred, however general manufacturing experience is acceptable.
