Description

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations at our wholesale parts distribution branch. This role requires a hands-on, honest, and integrity-driven leader who can effectively manage staff, foster a collaborative team environment, and ensure exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include supervising inventory control, optimizing daily operations, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in the distribution and appliance industry, with a strong understanding of branch operations, B2B customer relationships, and team leadership. The Branch Manager is expected to possess comprehensive knowledge of all subordinate roles, leading by example and working closely with the team to ensure efficient, customer-focused performance across the branch.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the branch including sales, administrative duties, customer service, inventory, and logistics
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise branch staff to meet performance and sales goals and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction; Completes performance reviews for staff and provides clear goals for growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and suppliers
  • Develop and execute local sales strategies to grow business and increase market share
  • Manage P&L statements and necessary reporting for branch location on weekly, monthly, and yearly basis
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with the purchasing team for reorders
  • Adheres and enforces federal and state employment and safety laws in conjunction with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently
  • Resolves employee and customer disputes as necessary
  • Oversee store opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and operational compliance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies
  • Prepare and submit operational and sales reports to the Regional Manager
  • Attend annual branch manager’s meetings.
  • Work with Corporate office to ensure documentation and paperwork is accurate and received in a timely basis.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in retail or wholesale distribution, preferably in HVAC, appliance, or industrial parts
  • Previous management or supervisory experience required
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of distribution logistics, inventory management, sales strategies and customer service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and branch equipment (computers, scanners, printers, fax machines, phone systems, scanners etc.)
  • Ability to lift to 75 lbs. and work in a warehouse/store environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, if necessary
  • Experience in B2B wholesale or trade distribution
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, NetSuite)
  • Local market knowledge and established customer relationships
  • Managers are required to live within a 60-mile radius of the branch they manage.
