Truck Driver-Class A CDL-Local

D.L. George & Sons Transportation Company is seeking skilled Class A CDL Truck Drivers to deliver to our customers in Frederick and Baltimore Maryland and Myerstown Pennsylvania. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operate a tractor trailer to pick up and deliver dry bulk materials
• Follow a predetermined schedule of pick up and delivery (single drop and return); maintain short haul (exempt) logs. No ELD required!
• Ability to maneuver and back truck in a safe manner
• Ability to operate dump valves
• Ability to complete required documentation
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies as required, including lights, brakes, fuel, oil and coolant, raising hood, climb to clean windshield and mirrors
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Physical Requirements:

• Meet Department of Transportation medical, drug and alcohol qualifications
• Operation of vehicle up to 10 hours per day depending on schedule, 40-60 hours per week, less than 12 hours daily
• Cranking dolly legs on trailers when hooking up and dropping
• Open and close valves to handle material
• Climb 3 feet with steps to hook airlines
• May be required to work in adverse weather

Requirements:

• Class A CDL
• 21 years old-minimum
• DMV records 3 years back

Experience:

• 1 year preferred, Are you a new driver? Give us a call!
