What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Hauler position at D Kerns Construction?
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN HAULING EQUIPMENT
Equipment hauler will be responsible for safely operating a gooseneck trailer and slide axle trailer to transport heavy equipment to and from various jobsites. This position requires experience in both hauling and operating construction equipment.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 6:15 AM to approximately 5:30 PM
- Home every night
Responsibilities:
- Safely load, transport, and unload heavy equipment using gooseneck and slide axle trailers
- Operate equipment as needed for loading/unloading
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Ensure securement of all loads in compliance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and jobsite supervisors
- Maintain a clean driving record and follow all safety protocols
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving history (no recent violations)
- Minimum 2 years experience hauling heavy equipment
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
