Job Description:
D&H Trucking is a family owned and operated trucking company that is looking for a Class A Truck Driver to join our team in the Washington, MO area.
The primary responsibility of this position is to pick up and deliver palletized freight in a safe and timely manner. This position will operate a company truck with a valid driver’s license, class A CDL, Hazardous Materials endorsement, and DOT Medical card.
Candidate must be able to confidently back up to loading docks many times per day.
Requirements:
· CLASS A CDL License
· HAZMAT ENDORSEMENT
· Clean driving record
· OPERATE a 10 speed manual
· BACK UP to 10-15 docks per day
· Basic forklift operation preferred
Duties:
- DELIVER AND PICKUP palletized freight in a safe and timely manner
- OPERATE a pallet jack and liftgate when needed
- OPERATE both single axle and tandem axle day cab tractors
- NAVIGATE new areas by mapping and planning route
- PULL 28’, 48’, and 53’ van trailers
- INSPECT equipment and document on your DVIR
- COMMUNICATE with dispatch with updates / problems / delays
- ORGANIZE paperwork for 10-20 during route ensuring it is completed correctly by both driver and customer
- REPRESENT the company with a positive attitude
