Position: Dump Truck Driver
Location: Lewiston, ME
Status: Seasonal (April – November, weather dependent) Starting Pay: TBD
Role Objective: Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials (gravel, asphalt, loam, fill) to and from job sites in the Lewiston/Auburn area. This role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations and site safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Transport: Haul construction materials to sites and disposal facilities.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluid levels, tires, brakes) and report mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, load tickets, and timecards.
- Site Safety: Navigate active construction sites carefully, communicating effectively with ground crew and operators.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Licensure: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B.
- Medical: Due to the radius of operation being less than 100 air miles from the office, the drivers do not need to hold a valid DOT medical card.
- Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major infractions in the last 5 years.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience preferred; tri-axle experience is a plus.
General Requirements
- Physical: Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- Drug Testing: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to random testing per DOT/Company policy.
- Legal: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Hour per Week: Must be able to work over 40 hours per week if required.
