What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jewelry Sales Professional position at D. Geller & Son?
D. Geller & Son is seeking a relationship-driven sales professional to join our team as a Jewelry Consultant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships and helping people celebrate life’s biggest milestones.
As a Jewelry Consultant at D. Geller & Son, you are directly responsible for creating the memorable, personal experiences that have made us an Atlanta staple since 1939.
This is a professional sales role built on relationships. Our consultants don’t simply ring up purchases - they become trusted advisors for engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, and family heirlooms.
We are seeking applicants who are committed to learning, growing, and developing into service-driven sales professionals.
Our Jewelry Consultants are ambassadors of a legacy that spans 15 generations in the jewelry industry. Exceptional service comes first - but successful consultants also take pride in building relationships, earning trust, and helping clients make confident purchasing decisions.
Prior sales experience is required; jewelry industry experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates should be comfortable guiding clients through meaningful purchase decisions, following up with clients over time, and building long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals.
Regular expectations of a Jewelry Consultant include:
- Providing thoughtful, consultative sales experiences for clients
- Building long-term client relationships through consistent clienteling and follow-up
- Guiding customers through engagement ring, gift, and milestone purchases
- Basic merchandising, organization, and display of jewelry
- Regular interactions with walk-in or appointment customers
- Use of Point of Sale systems to efficiently conduct jewelry transactions
- Developing a working knowledge of all types of merchandise
- Engaging in an often fast-paced retail environment
D. Geller & Son is a diverse, people-first work environment where teamwork and communication are key to providing superior service. We treat each other with dignity and respect, supporting one another to learn and grow. Please contact us to schedule an in-person interview!
