As our operations continue to grow, we’re seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to lead field teams, ensure compliance with safety standards, and deliver exceptional service.
The Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day traffic control operations on job sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves managing crews, coordinating with clients, conducting site inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Duties
- Supervise and support traffic control crews on various projects
- Set up and inspect traffic control plans in accordance with MUTCD and company standards
- Ensure all staff follow safety protocols and wear proper PPE
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal management
- Conduct safety meetings, and on-site training as needed
- Complete job site documentation and daily reports accurately and on time
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues quickly and professionally
- Direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic in a safe and efficient manner
- Standing on cement and various surfaces for extended period of time, in weather elements including; exposure to hot and cold temperatures while controlling a signaling device (paddle)
- Perform basic maintenance on traffic control devices
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Required: Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Required: Traffic Control Supervisor certification (ATSSA, TMA, or equivalent)
- 2 years of experience in traffic control, construction, or roadway safety
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret traffic control plans
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to carry out specific instructions and to communicate quickly and effectively with other team members.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
