D&G is seeking a highly motivated and talented Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support USTRANSCOM’s Contested Logistics Program. The ideal candidate will have experience identifying and developing solutions that will improve DOW’s capabilities to support logistics operations in a contested environment.
What You Will Do
- Assist in developing a comprehensive JDDE Contested Logistics Strategy.
- Assist in identifying areas within the JDDE that require improvements to enhance USTRANSCOM’s ability to fulfill its responsibilities as outlined in Section 334 of the FY2026 NDAA.
- Support the Government in drafting and implementing changes to applicable policies, regulations, doctrine, programs of record, and other processes. Develop white papers, analyses, and reports on bulk fuel capacity and capabilities in industry.
- Assist in identifying and providing actionable recommendations to address gaps between as-is practices and best practices. Assist the government in designing to-be processes.
- Provide expert assistance in developing USTRANSCOM Contested Logistics planning strategies for both internal and external audiences, including national-level strategic guidance.
- Conduct Logistics Mission Thread Analysis to support resourcing and acquisition pipelines.
Required:
- Master’s degree in logistics, business, or related field
- 20 years of relevant experience
- CCMD or Military Service Headquarter experience
- Demonstrated experience developing or supporting contested logistics, operational logistics strategy, or global distribution planning
- Experience drafting or revising policy, doctrine, or strategic guidance at the Combatant Command or Service Headquarters level
- Experience conducting logistics mission analysis, mission thread analysis, or capability gap assessments
- Experience developing executive-level white papers, briefings, and analytic reports
- Strong understanding of Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE) operations
- Experience supporting NDAA-driven or Congressional-directed initiatives
- Active DoD Secret clearance required
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
- Restricted to U.S. persons as defined under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
- On site at Scott AFB IL
- Some travel required
