NOW HIRING — Automotive Shop Assistant
D.G. Automotive is looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our team! We’re an established, locally owned automotive repair shop conveniently located on Stone Drive in Kingsport, TN.
Our immediate need is for help with the administrative and customer-service side of the shop, but we’re especially interested in finding someone with automotive knowledge or repair experience who would like the opportunity to grow into a broader role within the shop.
Day-to-day responsibilities will initially include:
-Answering phones and assisting customers
-Scheduling appointments
-Creating invoices and processing payments
-Ordering and coordinating parts
-Communicating with customers regarding repairs
-General office and administrative duties
-Helping keep the shop organized and running smoothly
Have automotive experience? Even better.
For the right person, we would love for this position to grow beyond the front office. Someone with mechanical knowledge or hands-on automotive experience could also have opportunities to assist with smaller repair and maintenance jobs as the role develops.
We’re open to different backgrounds — whether your experience is primarily in automotive repair, service writing, parts, customer service, or office administration. What matters most is finding someone reliable, organized, comfortable with customers, willing to learn, and ready to be part of a small team.
Schedule:
D.G. Automotive is open Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM. This position will be approximately 30–40 hours per week, with some flexibility in scheduling within our regular business hours.
Availability on Mondays and Fridays is required, as those are our busiest days.
