About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Contracting Supervisor to join our team at D.F. Pray General Contractors. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the activities of construction personnel, including laborers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage project materials, equipment, and supplies, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field, preferably in multi-family housing construction.
- Valid Massachusetts Construction Supervisor license.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Proficiency in Procore Project Management software, scheduling and job costing software, and Microsoft Office.
