Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Concrete Finisher/Laborers in the Joplin Mo area. In this role, you will be forming, installing, and finishing concrete surfaces on a variety of roadway and sidewalk projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship and all safety standards are met.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation of concrete forms, rebar installation, and setting up site layouts based on plans and project specs.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment to pour, spread, level, and finish concrete surfaces, using proper techniques and tools.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks including troweling, smoothing, edging, and sometimes applying textures or patterns for aesthetic or functional purposes.
- Install rebar reinforcement and ensure proper placement according to engineering specifications for durability and safety.
- The ability to read blueprints and plans to accurately interpret project requirements while adhering to safety protocols on-site is a plus.
Skills
- Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, pouring techniques, and finishing methods is required.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings ensures precise work execution is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools such as floats, trowels, saws, drills, and caulking guns.
- Civil construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures and teamwork is required for success in this role.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a concrete finisher or laborer.
- Experienced in tying rebar.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Attention to detail.
- MUST BE DRUG FREE.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus but not mandatory. We value energetic individuals who are committed to craftsmanship excellence while prioritizing safety at every step.
Pay: $23.75 - $44.20 per hour
