We are seeking a reliable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team as part time. Applicants must possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including scaling, SRP and polishing teeth
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Conduct mouth screenings and check oral health
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries and periodontitis
- Perform duties of a licensed Dental Hygienist
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Take X-rays (4BW 2PA and CBCT as prescribed by the dentist)
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Assist the dentist during exams.
- Monitor supplies
Skills
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
- Proficient in infection control protocols
- Proficient in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and dental team
- A patient and friendly personality
