What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman position at D&D Home Remodeling?
D&D Home Remodeling Contractors is seeking a dependable and skilled Foreman to lead residential remodeling projects. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on construction abilities. The ideal candidate can read plans, direct crews, and also jump in with skilled labor when needed.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily on-site construction activities
- Read, interpret, and execute architectural and engineering plans
- Coordinate subcontractors and laborers
- Ensure all work meets building codes and company quality standards
- Maintain project timelines and communicate progress to the Project Manager
- Oversee jobsite safety, material handling, and cleanliness
- Perform hands-on work when needed (framing, drywall, plumbing support, finishing, etc.)
- Manage inspections and ensure each phase is ready for approval
- Identify potential delays or issues and provide fast, effective solutions
- Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and inspectors
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Foreman or Lead Carpenter
- Ability to read and understand construction plans
- Strong hands-on skills, including:
- Framing
- Drywall hanging & taping
- Basic plumbing support
- General carpentry and finish work

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
