D&D Freight Management LLC is a Dallas-based interstate trucking carrier operating a growing fleet of roughly 40 - 45 tractor trailers, focused on hauling general freight, produce, and time-sensitive loads across regional and national lanes.
Our company emphasizes reliability, communication, and operational consistency, with a reputation for on-time service, clean equipment, and strong dispatcher–driver coordination. To further our goals, is looking for a Transportation Safety Manager who will strengthen our compliance structure, improve safety performance, and help us continue building a professional, driver-focused organization.
What We Are Looking For
- 3 or more years in trucking or transportation safety
- Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- DOT drug and alcohol program experience
- CSP or ASP certification a plus
What You Will Do
Compliance & Program Management
- Conduct ELD audits and monitor Hours of Service (HOS) compliance
- Manage and administer the company Drug & Alcohol program
- Lead accident investigations and perform detailed root cause analysis
- Monitor CSA scores and implement corrective action plans
- Ensure ongoing compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations
Safety Training & Development
- Develop, adjust, and update safety training materials as regulations or company needs change
- Create new safety training modules when necessary
- Deliver onboarding safety training for new drivers
- Conduct regular safety meetings and performance coaching
Telematics & Data Oversight
- Manage and process telematics data (speeding events, harsh braking, idle time, safety events)
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities for risk reduction
- Implement data-driven improvements to strengthen overall safety performance
- Build structured reporting systems to track driver performance
Safety Rating & Performance Improvement
- Implement proactive strategies to improve CSA scores
- Develop preventive safety initiatives
- Work with operations and leadership to continuously improve safety culture
