Cleaner/Janitor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and facilities maintenance, with an emphasis on industrial and commercial cleaning standards.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed to maintain high standards of appearance.
• Carry out custodial duties in various settings including commercial buildings, industrial sites, and residential areas.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Familiarity with custodial practices and floor care techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning procedures is a plus.
• A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and order in the workplace.

Pay: $17.75 - $20.00 per hour
