Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute plumbing layouts accurately.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble and connect plumbing components.
- Conduct system inspections to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements efficiently.
- Collaborate with construction teams, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades to ensure seamless project progress.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project records.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction plumbing with a solid understanding of plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, pipe threading, welding techniques, and schematic interpretation.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe cutters, threading machines, and welding equipment.
- Strong field service experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues on-site.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning.
- Knowledge of carpentry principles useful for remodeling or renovation projects.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred for transporting materials or equipment when necessary.
