About the Position
The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of commercial construction, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily on-site construction operations and ensure compliance with project plans,
specifications, and schedules
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
- Ensure job site safety and compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies
- Maintain detailed daily reports, logs, and project documentation
- Conduct and lead site meetings, inspections, and walkthroughs
- Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers, engineers, and clients
- Enforce quality control standards and ensure all work is completed to specification
- Manage project scheduling, material deliveries, and workforce planning
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and code requirements
- Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar projects from start to finish
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Proficient with construction software, MS Office Suite, Procore, and scheduling software
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction
- Management or related field is a plus
- Valid and clean driver’s license
