Come work for UNCW's Lab School! The D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy Teacher plans and delivers instruction based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Instruction will enable students to learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development. This position will utilize a personalized student data management system to individualize learning experiences for students designed to help them reach their fullest potential. Ongoing formative assessment will provide necessary data to inform instructional decisions and design appropriate interventions. Teachers at D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy will operate as members of the school’s kinship network, extended family unit. The kinship network will support the growth and development of all students. Staff will actively participate as members of professional learning communities with colleagues and faculty from the Watson College of Education.
