D-BAT East Dallas is a premier indoor baseball and softball training facility with 23,000 sq ft of climate-controlled space, 14 batting cages (throwing real baseballs/softballs) and a mission to provide high quality instruction to players of all levels. Our philosophy emphasizes individualized instruction, parent involvement, and development of the whole ballplayer: beliefs, attitudes, traditions.
As a Baseball Instructor, you will provide one-on-one, small group, and clinic-based instruction for youth and adolescent baseball players. You will design and deliver training sessions to improve hitting, fielding, throwing, and overall baseball IQ. You will build and maintain relationships with players and parents, help grow the lesson business, and contribute to the positive culture and reputation of D-BAT East Dallas.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct private lessons and small-group training sessions for baseball players at various ages and skill levels.
- Assess player skill level, identify strengths and development areas, and create training plans accordingly.
- Deliver effective instruction in batting (hitting mechanics, situational hitting), fielding, throwing, base running and general baseball fundamentals.
- Engage parents in feedback and communication; follow up on player progress and offer suggestions/next steps.
- Build and maintain a strong client base: re-book existing players, attract new players through camps, clinics and referrals.
- Participate in facility events: camps, clinics, birthday party sessions, open houses as required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, professional training environment; follow all facility policies and safety protocols.
- Playing experience at the high school, college or pro level preferred; coaching or training experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals and mechanics, and ability to teach them clearly to diverse players.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable working with youth, adolescents, parents, and other staff.
- Availability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends (prime lesson times).
- Able to stand, kneel, bend, reach
