Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager to lead our indoor baseball and softball training academy.
This leadership role needs passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will interface with the community, organization leadership, school coaches, team coaches, and other aspects of youth sports leadership.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the academy, sales, and membership servicing. He or she will promote events, train staff, and analyze metrics of the business.
The compensation includes a base salary and a potential large bonus package, as well as a potential regional growth opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, and machine maintenance
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to build a high-performing team aligned with company standards.
- Manage scheduling, and employee orientation to ensure efficient staffing levels.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies and pricing policies to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain inventory control through stock monitoring, purchasing, and stock replenishment processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, and store policies.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, supervise shift management, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to uphold excellent customer service standards.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the retail or sales industry, including supervising sales teams and managing store operations.
- Strong skills in negotiation, recruiting, training & development, and employee orientation.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel throughout the county to optimize the business exposure in the community, promote , and develop relationships
- Ability to manage budgets, perform retail math calculations accurately, and oversee operational management tasks efficiently.
