D&B Construction is looking for a Project Executive to join our growing team!The Project Executive will oversee all items related to day to day construction operations including project plan development, cost and schedule analysis, and owner and trade partner communications and interface. This role will be involved with all phases related to preconstruction, construction, and project close-out. This role will also be responsible for regular communications for project planning, site logistics, and coordination. The position will be based in our Wyomissing, PA office and will report directly to the VP of Production Construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Administrators, Superintendents, and Assistant Superintendents to deliver projects ahead of schedule and under budget.
  • Maintain visibility with clients, develop effective relationships, service client interim needs and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Manage risk in accordance with company guidelines, search for new ways to improve operating returns and resolve claims in a timely manner.
  • Manage financial administration and establish project goals and objectives, evaluate project financial performance to maximize profit.
  • Comply with accounting policies and procedures, provide accurate financial forecasting, maximize cash flow, meet financial reporting deadlines.
  • Preserve company culture and philosophies. Mentor others, promote mission and vision, and encourage employee growth.
  • Ensure compliance with Human Resources’ policies, procedures.
  • Participate in development of proposals, presentations, and turnover processes.
  • Review projects on site and in Procore, including but not limited to, budgets, schedules, minutes, open submittals and RFI’s on a weekly basis to ensure delivery of contractual obligations.
  • Oversee project operations and monitor for budget, schedule and profitability
  • Participate in owner/architects/contractor meetings, monitor for compliance with contract documents.
  • Review and approve subcontracts’ agreements and change orders, and ensure timely close-out of projects.
  • Establish personal professional development plan and maintain licensing, certification and registrations.
  • Identify gaps in employee skill sets and develop training plans for improvement.
  • Participate in community and company engagement as well as encourage employee involvement.
  • Maintain visibility with subcontractors and develop effective relationships, monitor subcontractor buyout and negotiations, develop subcontractor strategy for projects.
  • Other related duties as assigned by leadership.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve best results.
  • Possess analytical mind and great organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages.
  • Ability to think “big” picture.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Strong leadership skills including, but not limited to, coaching, mentoring, and the ability to build and maintain motivated teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interface directly with owners' representatives, the A/E team, building departments and other team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience as a Project Executive, Sr. Project Manager, or similar role with a major general contractor.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with construction project management applications including Procore and MS Project.
  • Highly developed project management finance skills.
  • Willingness to travel.

  • Multifamily construction: 10 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
