Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute a wide range of construction projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in various carpentry techniques and lead projects from conception to completion. This role requires a meticulous approach to craftsmanship, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage and mentor a team of carpenters.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and project documents to develop layouts and construction plans.
- Perform and supervise a broad spectrum of construction tasks including framing, drywall installation, door hanging, demolition, siding, and interior and exterior trim work.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure material availability and timely execution of projects.
- Oversee the quality of work and compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Mentor and lead a team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages high performance.
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a minimum of 5 years in the field, including supervisory roles.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Proficient in the use of electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, tape measures & squares, etc...).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
