Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise concrete crews, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and adhere to construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software
- Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure accurate execution of concrete work
- Monitor construction site safety in compliance with OSHA regulations and federal safety standards, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections
- Manage procurement of materials, including concrete mixes, reinforcement, formwork, and tools, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met
- Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work for adherence to design specifications, conducting tests with equipment like ohmmeters when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of daily progress, safety incidents, material usage, and labor hours using construction management software.
Qualifications
- Five years experience supervising concrete construction projects with strong crew management skills
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations such as OSHA standards and federal safety protocols
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately
- Strong communication skills for managing teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring clear documentation of project progress
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations in residental concrete work
- Knowledge of construction regulations related to concrete work and site safety practices
