Nurse Manager - Surgical Services - 15K Sign-On Bonus
This is an opportunity to lead surgical services within a Level II trauma and comprehensive specialty care environment, supporting diverse surgical programs including cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurological, and general surgery. The hospital is known for its commitment to clinical quality, physician partnership, and patient-centered care across its service lines.
Base Rate: $50 – $60/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Lead daily Surgical Services operations, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality perioperative care and on-time case flow
- Direct OR workflow, staffing, and resource allocation to optimize surgical throughput and performance
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, infection prevention, and quality standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop perioperative staff, including RNs, OR techs, and sterile processing teams
- Partner with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams to drive optimal patient outcomes
- Manage budgets, productivity, and quality initiatives, using data to improve performance and patient satisfaction
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years acute care clinical experience
- 3 years acute care leadership (Manager)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- · Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or multistate compact license or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
