D'Ambra Construction Corporation is looking for a Safety Manager for the Dallas area with rebar experience. D’Ambra is a specialty sub-contractor specializing in reinforcing steel. We have been in business for over 20 years building over 300 buildings in this time.
Qualifications:
- Plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions.
- Identify current needs to improve already-established processes.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience by handling current procedures and implementing new processes as needed.
- Perform site-safety evaluations routinely.
- Familiarized with OSHA 510,500 standards and regulations.
- Ensure proper training on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and company safety procedures and regulation meet all Department of Labor standards.
- Ensure that all safety training are conducted appropriately and effectively.
- Manage and maintain all accident and injury claims files.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections without supervision and determines whether work site and office personnel are in compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
- Assess and develop certified safety programs for all field, and office personnel.
- Generate, prepare, and maintain reports.
- Responsible for communicating to management all safety related communication.
- Update weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety measurement tools electronically.
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Cross-train team members in your specific area of expertise.
- Advocate the company policies and procedures in accordance to company's employee handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or higher, or a minimum experience equivalent of 3 to 5 years in the rebar industry.
- Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Strong technical background in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred.
- Strong organization skills are necessary.
