Our fabrication shop is growing fast, and we're looking for a dedicated Safety Manager to lead our safety program, keep our team protected, and ensure our operations meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures for shop operations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and audits.
- Lead safety meetings and training for fabrication crews.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with supervisors and welders/fabricators to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Manage PPE programs, equipment tagging, and safety data sheets.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of safety experience (construction or fabrication environment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and fabrication shop hazards (grinding, cutting, bending, crane operation, etc.).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work hands-on in the shop environment.
OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, or equivalent certifications preferred
