CNC Machinist

We are currently looking for CNC Machinist responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision instrument mouthpieces for in-house production. This role requires attention to detail, technical skill, and a commitment to quality. The machinist works closely with team members to ensure all parts meet stringent standards.

This is an on-site role and will require the candidate to work on-site daily in the Farmingdale office.

Compensation

We offer a competitive total compensation package. The hourly pay range for this role is $27.00 to $38.00 per hour and is commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes and Milling machines , and other machine equipment to produce precision mouthpieces.
• Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to fabricate mouthpieces accurately .
• Utilize CAM programming (Mastercam) for CNC machines when necessary.
• Employ precision measuring instruments, such as bore gauges , micrometers and calipers, to verify dimensions of finished products.
• Maintain tooling and equipment in optimal working condition , performing routine maintenance as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC lathe and Milling m achinist with proficiency in setting up milling machines and lathes.
• Familiarity with CNC operations setup and operations is mandatory.
• Experience with CAM programming (Mastercam) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of precision measuring instruments including bore gauges and micrometer .
• Knowledge of tooling techniques and materials used in machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
