Key Responsibilities:
Buying Oil
- All gaugers will be trained in specific buying procedures that are to be always observed.
- The procedures are designed to keep gaugers safe, assure the quality of the crude oil our customers are purchasing, and to protect the equipment.
- Verify location and tank numbers before buying oil.
- Record all necessary legal information on the Run ticket.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Transportation and Safety
- Complete thorough pre-and post-trip inspections daily on gauging vehicles.
- Ensure gauging vehicles are maintained, cleaned, and well stocked.
- Operate company gauging vehicles safely and efficiently in all types of road and weather conditions.
- Driving defensively is a requirement for all company drivers.
- Follow all local, state, and federal traffic laws.
Working Conditions:
- Field-based work
- Regularly travel to well and field sites.
- Exposure to outdoor environments and hazardous materials with appropriate PPE provided.
Work Schedule:
- 4 days on 4 days off rotating schedule
- Hours: 10-12 hours/day; 40 to 50 hours a week
- Day shift with a 4 am start time.
- Will have the option to take the gauging vehicle home during scheduled days.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Must have a valid Class D driver’s license
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Oil field experience and off pavement driving a plus
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Excellent penmanship and basic math skills
- Detail oriented
- Great customer service and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and steps, and work at heights of 15 to 35 feet.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment.
- Ability to read a tape measure/hydrometer/thermometer
- Ability to operate the company gauging vehicle safely and efficiently in varying weather conditions including snow, fog, rain, mud, and off pavement roads.
- Tolerance for exposure to noise, fumes, dust, and varying temperatures.
Wage Range: 1100.00 - 1300.00 per week
