Lead Carpenter / Carpenter Helper

Location: Richmond, VA & Surrounding Areas
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25–$30 per hour for Leads and $12-$17 per hour for helpers (based on experience and position)

D.A.M. Fine Carpentry is a growing residential remodeling company looking to hire both an experienced Lead Carpenter and a motivated Carpenter Helper. Whether you're a seasoned craftsman ready to lead projects or someone eager to grow in the trade, we'd love to hear from you.
Lead Carpenter Responsibilities
- Lead residential remodeling projects from start to finish
- Read blueprints and project plans
- Supervise and mentor crew members
- Complete framing, trim, decks, siding, doors, windows, and general carpentry
- Maintain quality workmanship and job site safety
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and project managers
Lead Carpenter Qualifications
- 5 years of residential carpentry experience preferred
- Leadership or foreman experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Own basic hand tools
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Carpenter Helper Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with remodeling projects
- Load and unload materials
- Keep job sites clean and organized
- Learn carpentry techniques while working alongside experienced professionals
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely
- Perform general labor as needed
Carpenter Helper Qualifications
- Construction or carpentry experience is a plus but not required
- Willingness to learn and work hard
- Reliable transportation
- Positive attitude and dependable attendance
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
