Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Charlotte, NC. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, managing subcontractor bids, and coordinating with project teams. Key tasks include reviewing architectural drawings, identifying project costs, maintaining a detailed cost database, and providing input during the bidding and contract process.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in estimating, construction drawings interpretation, and understanding of materials and labor costs
- Proficiency in budgeting and subcontractor management
- Experience in document preparation, report writing, and record-keeping
- Technical proficiency in estimating software and tools
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with diverse stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of local construction standards, codes, and regulations
- Previous experience within the construction management or general contracting industry is strongly preferred
