D.A. Collins Companies, Kubricky Construction Corporation is seeking a reliable
and safety-conscious individual for a full-time position as a Pipe
Foreperson.
The Pipe Foreperson must have advanced understanding of
heavy construction activities including utility installation, earth moving,
landfill operations and traffic control.
Prevailing wage rates and a great benefit package including company
funded pension, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance and life
insurance.
Upon acceptance of offer, we will coordinate new hire paperwork and pre-employment substance abuse screening (Drug Free Employer).
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the safety of the work environment at all times by complying with Safety policies, rules and regulations
- Manage work crews and ensure assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and per job specifications
- Plan and coordinate daily operations in conjunction with project Superintendent including scheduling, materials ordering/inventory, and equipment needs/maintenance
- Report labor, equipment and materials used
- Analyze and report actual costs to budget
- Communicate with other parties on the project including Superintendent, Project Manager, Engineers, Inspectors, Vendors and Construction Managers
- Train employees in proper and safe procedures, leading by example
- Read plans and specifications (application rates, grades, slope, drainage, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of progressive construction experience
- OSHA 10 (OHSA 30 preferred)
- Must past post-offer drug screening and be subject to random, post-incident/accident and reasonable suspicion testing (Drug Free Employer)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to report to work on time with record acceptable under company's insurance
- Ability to rapidly learn computer and software applications for record keeping and reporting
- Ability to travel out of town to worksites throughout NY and VT is required including night and weekend work as required
- Proven leadership and supervisory abilities

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
