Key Responsibilities
- Ensure daily compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, DOH requirements, and JCI standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, safety rounds, and risk assessments in healthcare facilities.
- Identify hazards and unsafe practices and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain risk assessments, inspection reports, checklists, and HSE records.
- Ensure employees properly use PPE and follow safety procedures.
- Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions.
- Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, near misses, and injuries and prepare reports.
- Ensure proper fire safety, emergency procedures, evacuation plans, and first-aid arrangements.
- Coordinate and participate in fire drills, emergency drills, and evacuation exercises.
- Monitor housekeeping, workplace safety, and infection-control-related safety practices.
- Ensure contractors, visitors, and other third parties follow safety requirements.
- Support JCI accreditation, audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Maintain required JCI and DOH documentation and records.
- Identify JCI and DOH compliance gaps and follow up on corrective actions.
- Prepare regular HSE reports and safety updates for management.
- Stay updated with UAE HSE regulations, DOH requirements, JCI standards, and healthcare safety practices.
- Perform other HSE duties assigned by management.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in HSE, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of HSE experience, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Experience in hospitals, clinics, medical centers, or healthcare facilities is preferred.
- NEBOSH IGC certification is preferred/required.
- IOSH certification is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, DOH requirements, and JCI standards.
- Experience with JCI accreditation, audits, safety inspections, and compliance requirements is preferred.
- Experience in risk assessments, incident reporting, safety inspections, emergency procedures, and corrective actions.
- Good knowledge of PPE, fire safety, first aid, and workplace safety.
- Good communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work with clinical and non-clinical healthcare teams.
