Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Asphalt Sales/Consultant/Estimator to join our team. This role involves developing client relationships, preparing accurate project estimates, and providing expert consultation on asphalt and construction projects. Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors to promote asphalt products and services
- Prepare detailed project estimates using our company's software
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope, specifications, and requirements for accurate pricing and proposal development
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure project agreements
- Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure project specifications are met within budget and schedule constraints
- Assist in cost control measures by analyzing project costs and identifying efficiencies
- Provide technical consultation on asphalt materials, application methods, and construction best practices
- Support project management teams during project execution to ensure quality standards and contractual obligations are fulfilled
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitive pricing strategies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within asphalt or paving industries
- Has a existing Client base
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Construction site experience and understanding of construction management processes
- Familiarity with contracts, project management principles, and cost control techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts accurately
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and site protocols is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience is highly valued
