The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the preventive maintenance program by carrying out effective maintenance routines, repairs, and calibrations to prolong the useful life and optimize the efficiency of facility and facility support equipment.
This position reports to the Facilities Maintenance Manager and is part of the Facilities Engineering & Maintenance department located in Logan, Utah and will be an on-site role. This will be night shift, Sunday-Thursday 10:00PM - 6:30AM and is eligible for shift differential pay. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- Apply your experience and skills to complete assigned predictive/preventive and reactive maintenance work for various facility, support and building envelope systems.
- Work within standard operating procedures and follow work order task descriptions, technical documentation, safety principles, etc.
- Expand your skills in your own work area within mechanical, electrical, electronics, or construction fields.
Who you are:
- You have developed analytical skills and can apply a variety of troubleshooting methods to perform diverse activities typically achieved through 1-2 years of prior industrial maintenance experience.
- You recognize health, safety, environmental hazards and risks and make recommendations for improvement using professional communication skills to exchange information.
- You recognize and solve typical problems that can occur in your own work area(s) without supervisory approval, evaluating and selecting solutions from established operating procedures.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel within multiple sites in same city.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Regulated industry and current good manufacturing practices.
- Electronic building access control system troubleshooting and repair
- Expertise in HVAC or ammonia refrigeration systems
