Reporting to the Property Manager, this position is a hands-on position and will be responsible for supporting all aspects of janitorial maintenance within the Bernice Gehring Building and other buildings within the Cythera portfolio, as required. This position may require travel between properties within Maple Ridge.
Responsibilities in this Role
Education, Training and Experience
Completion of Grade 12 plus training and/or a minimum 2 years of experience, including the ability to operate cleaning equipment and basic tools. Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred, along with strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

Wage/Salary: Starting at $25.95/hour

Responsibilities in this Role
- Perform regular cleaning of commercial and residential spaces including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing all common areas, restrooms, and office spaces
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, elevator buttons, shared spaces and equipment. Assist with any cleaning tasks as required at any MRPMCS sites
- Empty and dispose of garbage and recycling from all commercial areas
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass doors, and entryways
- Ensure commercial restrooms are stocked and sanitized
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and repairing fixtures
- Assist with minor maintenance repairs and landscaping as required
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs and report to property management team
- Coordinate and assist with external contractors for larger repair projects, as required and in consultation with the Property Manager
