Now Hiring: Yard Worker / Forklift Operator
Join our team at Cyr Lumber, a well-established and respected lumber company that has been serving our community for over 40 years. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Lumber Yard Worker / Forklift Operator to be a key part of our operation. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you! Schedule is Sunday-Thursday shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Assist customers in the yard, helping them locate materials, loading products safely, and ensuring they have a great experience.
- Order Building: Accurately pick, organize, and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery.
- Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift with skill and care to move materials efficiently and safely.
- Inventory & Organization: Maintain stock levels, conduct inventory counts, and ensure materials are stored in an orderly manner.
- Yard Maintenance: Keep the lumberyard clean, organized, and safe for both employees and customers.
- Teamwork: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a similar role (yard work, construction, lumber, or warehouse preferred).
- Forklift experience required (certification is a plus but not necessary).
- Strong organizational skills to keep inventory and orders accurate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Friendly and customer-focused attitude—our customers are important to us!
- Reliability and motivation—we need someone who takes pride in their work and is eager to contribute.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 75 lbs).
