As a Commercial Loan Officer, your day will be filled with exciting responsibilities that help grow and maintain a portfolio of business members of the Credit Union. You will have the opportunity to offer members a suite of lending and deposit products fitted to their needs, meet with applicants to explain products, credit policies, loan terms, application processes, and obtain financial information and documentation. You will also be responsible for the effective and professional completion of commercial loan functions, including evaluating business loan requests and preparing written submissions for consideration by the Member Business Loan Committee.
To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience. You should also have three to five years of lending and sales experience, with business banking experience preferred. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and public relations skills, a good understanding of financial statements and statement analysis, a basic understanding of IRS documents 1040, Schedule C, 1065, 1120 S, and Schedule K-1, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
