Key Responsibilities
Patient Evaluation & Care Planning

Evaluate patients in accordance with physician referrals

Develop individualized treatment plans with functional, goal-driven outcomes

Deliver direct, hands-on therapy tailored to resident needs

Provide discharge recommendations and instruct families on home programs
Team Collaboration

Communicate regularly with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members

Attend care conferences and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Supervise PTAs, rehab techs, and students
Documentation & Compliance

Maintain timely and accurate documentation that meets all regulatory requirements

Track treatment charges following billing guidelines

Stay current with Medicare and insurance-related regulations
Facility Support

Ensure therapy equipment is properly maintained and treatment spaces remain organized

Assist in department training, in-services, and education

Float to other facilities when needed based on patient care needs
Requirements
Education & Licensure
-
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
-
Must hold or be eligible for a valid North Carolina Physical Therapy license
Physical & Professional Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients with mobility

Strong communication skills and emotional resilience

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Flexibility to work beyond standard hours as needed
