Cypress In-Line Inspection, LLC ("Cypress") is a young technology company providing in-line pipeline inspection services to the municipal water and energy industries. We have a very talented team of industry veterans including mechanical, electrical, software, signal processing engineers that work closely with our field technicians. Our ultra-high resolution fifth generation ("SG") EcoVision™ ILi tools offer best in class Magnetic Flux Leakage ("MFL") technology. We work for some of the most prestigious municipal water authorities and energy pipeline companies in the world including but not limited to the City of Denver, City of San Francisco,Jordan Valley, North Jersey Water Supply Commission, Washington County Water, City ofDenvefj and energy companies like Bridger, Chevron, Epic, Dominion/Enbridge, DCP Midstream, Marathon, Phillips 66, Targa Midstream, Lower Valley Energy, United States Air Force, Williams Companies, etc. We also have next generation proprietary EcoView™ data analysis software that allows us to provide our customers with high quality reporting. Our fleet of tools range from 6" to 24" currently, and we continue to expand our fleet.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced adaptable In-line Inspection tool operator to join our growing team. This position requires extensive travel in both the United States, and occasionally internationally. The role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled technician to learn about our tools. This position will report to the Director of Operations.
Required Skills & Key Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of Caliper, MFL, AGM, and IMU technologies
- Desire to travel extensively working on pipeline inspections.
- US Citizen with valid driver's license, responsible driving skills, and acceptable motor vehicle history
- Ability to complete post run QA/ QC Analysis on MFL, Geometry and IMU tool data.
- Learn about technology, operating and technical procedures, quality systems, and workplace procedures.
- Learn how to clean equipment, tracking, troubleshooting, repairs, QC policies, HSE standards, and maintenance procedures ensuring quality and proper operations.
- Mentoring and training Trainee and Level I Field Technicians
- Complete inspection projects in accordance with Cypress' operating guidelines.
- Strong understanding oflaunching and receiving ofILI systems and associated support equipment.
- Safe operation of forklifts, hoists, and cranes as needed.
- Safely transport our tools and associated support equipment to project site.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and improvement in the work environment.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timely completion of project-related reports.
- Analyze field data and interpret basic pipeline features for field reports.
- Apply knowledge of job scheduling and planning.
- Ability to work independently or with a team in accordance with project scope.
- Actively participate in training sessions and pass required exams
- Ability to apply practical knowledge from informal/formal training, classroom, and OJT to field work.
- Promote Environmental, Health & Safety and always follow safe working practices.

IN-LINE INSPECTION
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team
- Maintain skills, certifications, and complete additional training (internal/ external) as required
- Participate in training sessions and pass required exams ANSI/ASNT 111-PQ standards

- Knowledge of PHMSA Part 192 and 19S regulations, API, NACE and ASME standards and recommended practices is preferred
- Completion of accredited technical/vocational college training and/or minimum 3 years of corresponding ILI related work experience or current 111-PQLevel II Tool Operator Qualification

- Problem Solving: Methodically, breaks down issues, seeking solutions and further data if necessary
