Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain test hardware, software, and interface solutions to support manufacturing and product quality objectives.
- Create and implement manufacturing test frameworks that maximize test coverage and ensure product reliability.
- Define, develop, debug, and deploy electrical test programs for DC-DC converters using Chroma S8000 ATE and compliant test methodologies.
- Develop, document, and release new test programs to support new product introduction and on-time transition to production.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support design-for-test initiatives for thermal-mechanical solutions related to DC-DC converters and EMI filters.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation including test hardware schematics, engineering drawings, standards, specifications, data analysis, and reports.
- Support test engineering projects of varying complexity, both independently and as part of larger team initiatives.
- Perform routine calibration, preventive maintenance, and minor repair activities on ATE systems.
- Conduct experiments related to test methodology development, fixture design, yield improvement, and process quality control.
- Analyze test data, identify trends, determine root cause of failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving ATE systems, test hardware, software, and hardware interfaces.
- Drive test process improvements that increase manufacturing throughput, reduce cost, and maintain product quality.
- Provide support to other company sites as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical testing, ATE programming, or equivalent test engineering experience.
- Experience with PCB schematic capture tools such as Cadence or Altium.
- Basic programming experience in C, C , Visual Basic, Python, or LabVIEW.
- Hands-on experience using electronic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- CAD and SolidWorks knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience with Chroma S8000 ATE is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a lean, high-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to design test tools and fixtures with minimal supervision.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Proficiency with engineering support tools such as CAD, Excel, and PCB design software.
- Familiarity with standard electronic laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, pulse/signal generators, parametric analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing business needs, and work independently.
