As an Operations Contractor supporting Trustworthy AI initiatives, you will help execute and manage the day-to-day operations of external assurance and evaluation programs. This role is centered on operational rigor—keeping complex, multi-stakeholder efforts organized, on track, and moving forward smoothly.
You’ll partner with internal program leads, researchers, and external collaborators to coordinate contracts and logistics, track milestones and deliverables, manage communications, and support synthesis of research inputs. This role is well-suited for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a rapidly evolving environment.

Responsibilities
- Support operations for external assurance initiatives, including third-party evaluations, academic research partnerships, and expert advisory programs
- Assist with contract management and onboarding workflows, including tracking agreements, NDAs, and coordination with legal, finance, and procurement teams
- Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Field and triage inbound communications from researchers, evaluators, and subject-matter experts; draft and manage routine follow-ups
- Maintain operational documentation such as trackers, timelines, contact databases, and program materials
- Conduct background research and literature reviews related to AI safety, evaluation methods, and relevant policy topics, as needed
- 2 years of experience in operations, program coordination, policy operations, research support, or project management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines
- Experience working with external stakeholders such as academics, non-profits, vendors, or research partners
- Excellent written communication skills, including drafting clear emails, summaries, and internal documentation
- Comfort operating in fast-moving environments with evolving processes and incomplete information
- Exposure to AI safety, AI policy, or AI evaluation research
- $35-45/hour DOE
