Business Systems Lead – SAP IBP
6-month contract-to-hire
Location: Denver, CO (hybrid onsite)
Pay: $50 - $60/hr (compensation may vary depending on experience level)
We’re seeking a Business Systems Lead of Demand Planning to support the business and technology teams through an upcoming SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) implementation. This role will focus primarily on the Demand Planning workstream, helping translate business processes and planning requirements into effective system functionality.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand planning and experience supporting the implementation of a demand planning technology platform. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, planners, and technical teams across activities such as solution design, testing, issue resolution, deployment, and post-launch support. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of demand planning experience, along with prior exposure to demand planning system implementations.
Most Important Responsibilities

• Strong hands-on experience in demand planning is the primary requirement.
• Previous experience implementing or supporting the implementation of a demand planning solution.
• SAP IBP experience highly preferred.
• Understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and broader demand planning processes.
• Supply chain planning certifications are a plus.
• Support demand planning activities across the SAP IBP project lifecycle, including requirements/design sessions, SIT and UAT, defect tracking, deployment, cutover, and post-go-live support.
• Translate demand planning processes including statistical forecasting, demand sensing, forecast disaggregation, and consensus planning into system requirements, configurations, and key figure needs.
• Partner with demand planners and commercial stakeholders to understand business requirements and support effective system adoption.
• Help coordinate testing activities, including test planning, preparation, execution, and follow-up with business users.
• Develop and deliver training and ongoing support for end users and key/power users.
• Assist with production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis as issues arise.
• Participate in data governance, migration, and integration activities related to demand planning.
• Collaborate across business and technical teams to help ensure demand planning requirements are effectively incorporated into the IBP solution.
  

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of professional demand planning experience.
• Experience implementing, configuring, or supporting a demand planning technology solution.
• Experience with SAP IBP for Demand is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of S&OP, forecasting, and demand-driven planning processes.
• Comfortable operating in a business-facing support and coordination capacity rather than servicing as the primary implementation architect or lead.
• Experience specifically related to SAP IBP Demand Planning is more important than extensive SAP ERP experience.

• APICS/ASCM CPIM – Certified in Planning and Inventory Management
• APICS/ASCM CSCP – Certified Supply Chain Professional
• IBF CPF or ACPF – Certified Professional Forecaster
• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
